WILLIAM HAMEL has been selected as Atlantic Coast’s new Head Wrestling Coach. Coach Hamel is a long-time wrestling coach, previously a head coach at Mt. Hebron High School in Maryland. He wrestled at Rutgers University in College and was a High School District Champion, and an AAU Junior Olympic District Champion in his high school wrestling years. His goal at Atlantic Coast High School is to teach the wrestling techniques and the conditioning regimen necessary to be competitive, instill a team mentality where teammates support each other and push each other to continuously improve, and give each student athlete a path to succeed in the sport and in life.
Hard work + Teamwork = Success.

If you are interested in becoming part of the wrestling team, now is the time. There are currently several varsity spots open. The season starts 2 Nov for the Girls Team and 9 Nov for the Boys Team. First step is getting ATHLETIC CLEARANCE, having a parent sign into “AKTIVATE” and going through the checklist which includes a physical and may require an ECG.
